Why the name?
Endangered species, particularly Rhinoceros and Elephants caught my attention first. I have wanted to start my own business for many years, but didn’t know what I wanted to do. I learned of rhino poaching when watching a documentary in 2021. I knew I wanted my business to have a purpose outside of living a dream and providing a steady income. With the help of God first, I developed a name for the business that I hoped would raise awareness of endangered species. My goal is to always deliver products that are unique. I love design and I love photography. I am so thankful for the incredibly skilled photographers out there that share their work on various platforms. I will use their inspiration to develop designs centered around endangered species. Gaines spelled differently serves as a reminder to my mission in addition to the contribution my business can make in helping protect endangered or orphaned species and supporting efforts to stop illegal wildlife trade.
Northern White Rhino
2 Females remain
Northern White Rhino are gray in color, have poor eyesight, and only some hair on their ears and tail. The cause of much of their extinction is from poaching. Poaching of a Rhino like many other species, in many cases involve a silent kill by arrow, or snare, that allow the criminal(s) to get away but for certain; leave the animal dying from a slow and painful death. In many cases, the animal is alive as they hack away at their horns in order to make the most of their money/and paycheck. Most poachers do this for a living. It is cruelty and brutality and greed that drive their efforts. A status symbol, a paycheck. As of 2024, the only remaining Northern White Rhino are two females. According to the iucnredlist.org, northern White Rhinos were assessed in 86, 88, 90, 94 – all years noted endangered. In 96,2002,2003,2008,2011, they were noted as critically endangered. Today, only 2 female Northern White Rhinos remain. Though protected around the clock, they are nearly extinct. Greed brought this species to extinction. It is sad, and permanent.
